Project Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description and General Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing geotechnical investigation and construction materials testing projects.  This position requires a strong technical background and communication skills. 
Leading geotechnical engineering firm located the Inland Empire.  We provide geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing throughout southern California, but primarily in the Inland Empire and Coachella Valley.  Our work mix is about 75% public and 25% private.  Projects include treatment plants, pipelines, reservoirs, local street improvements, schools, commercial facilities, industrial facilities, and commercial and residential developments.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares proposals for geotechnical investigations and construction testing projects
  • Manages geotechnical investigations including scheduling and oversight of site drilling, laboratory testing, engineering analysis and report preparation
  • Manages construction testing and inspection projects including site visits, report preparation, as-needed consulting and budget control
  • Interfaces frequently with clients, contractors, owners, design team and the public
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 5 years minimum related experience.
  • California-registered civil or geotechnical engineer
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
