Production Line Lead

Summary/Objective
The Production Line Lead oversees the manufacturing activities within the Production Department. They plan, organize, and recommend strategies in ensuring that the product is developed successfully, in accordance with all specifications. This position, under supervision, monitors, trains, mentors, and guides assembly area employees, and carries out other related duties as assigned. The Lead is responsible for a variety of tasks including controlling the production line workflow, ensuring the safety of the team by enforcing all safety rules, and helping to identify and resolve production issues. This position ensures that all production projects are completed in a timely manner and to established quality standards.

  1. Takes direction from supervisor and completes tasks/projects for the day.
  2. Communicates issues and concerns to Manufacturing Supervisor.
  3. Responsible for the leading, delegating and monitoring of production line personnel.
  4. Drives workers to eliminate downtime and helps positively motivate the lines to reach reasonable productivity and quality expectations.
  5. Works directly with the Planning Department to get daily work orders and turn in completed work orders by the end of the day.
  6. Must be able to perform the duties of all positions on the line when needed.
  7. Ensures products are being manufactured efficiently and to specification.
  8. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
  9. Trains and enforces employees on proper systems manufacturing safety procedures. Examines work area to ensure that safety policies and procedures are being followed.
  10. Ensures manufacturing team follows OSHA always mandates and utilizes safety equipment and personal protection equipment.
  11. Keeps a clean and safe working environment and optimizes space utilization.
  12. Communicates effectively with and motivates production personnel cooperates with supervisors and coworkers and promotes a positive working environment, driving a continuous improvement culture.
  13. Works directly with the Warehouse to ensure material is provided to the lines in a timely manner.
  14. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and monitors personnel to ensure that they are also following GMP.ms all other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned by management.

Pay is $19.50 to $20.50 Depending on experience.
Hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm, with occasional overtime must be flexible to start as early as 5:00am.
