Summary/Objective
Accounts Receivable Specialist correctly bills clients for goods or services. They work with other departments to verify and record transactions and resolve account discrepancies. They also collect the correct amounts from their customers on time by providing the necessary support throughout those processes. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the organization. This role also serves as an audit function, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the receipt of payment for goods and services completed by the organization.
Essential Functions

Full cycle Account Receivable.

Process customer invoices, statements, and credit memos according to policies.

Confirm all necessary documents are accounted for as required per policies and procedures.

Collection on overdue accounts.

Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, organizations, and others regarding receivables.

Prepare/process weekly AR aging spreadsheet.

Act as liaison between the Sales Department and Accounting Department for credit terms, credit memos, and customer issues.

Contact and answer all customer inquiries and discrepancies.

Maintain all accounts receivable reports and spreadsheets on accounting shared drive.

Scan and electronically file payment documents.

Assist in Month End Close.

Prepare analysis of customer accounts, as required.

Maintain files using Word, Excel, and IQMS.

Assist with special projects as necessary as directed by the Accounting Manager.

Assist with AR year-end closing as directed by the Accounting Manager.

Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- 2-3 years of related experience required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Suitable for excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
- Must work effectively and relate well with others, including co-workers, management, and outside vendors.
- Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications, especially Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Additional Details:
- Pay Range is $27.00 - $29.00 per hour depending on experience
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Paid Holidays
