Paralegal
Infinium Payroll and HR on behalf of our client in Murrieta, California, United States (On-site)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of probate and estate administration, including drafting legal documents, preparing court filings, and managing case files
- Communicate with clients, probate courts, and other parties involved in the probate proceedings
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to probate matters
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of case information and deadlines
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing attorney calendars
- Draft Inventory and Appraisals, Accountings and other necessary documents for review by Probate Examiner and submission to Probate Courts
- Communicate with clients on a regular basis throughout the representation with updates
- Assist attorneys in preparing cases for hearings.
- Maintain case management database.
- Daily accurate entry into the Case Management System with no more than 15% of total time allocated to administrative work.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working as a paralegal in a law firm is preferred, focus on probate and estate administration is a plus.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
- Ability to reliably commute to the Murrieta, CA office required
- A fundamental understanding of estate planning/administration concepts OR related experience is a bonus.
- Possess strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Be willing to perform administrative tasks as needed
- Superb communication, organizational an interpersonal skills
- Be a self-starter who is also detail oriented
- Display a positive attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases Be able to learn new software with ease
- Have excellent spelling, typing and grammar skills
- Ability to type between 40-50 words per minute
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a high degree of discretion, confidentiality and integrity in the handling of personal client information, including following the Rules of Professional Conduct
- Exhibit a strong work ethic with high standards for quality and quantity of work
