Overview
The Order Fulfillment Facilitator executes completion of daily logistics duties and tasks. Performs a variety of picking/packing tasks, stages orders for internal or external shipping, while ensuring proper packing and labeling of all orders. Responsible for staging products based on customer requirements and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on pick ticket or materials request form.
- Follows and maintains established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, and continuous quality improvement objectives.
- Able to physically receive in products, track and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment, and stock if necessary.
- Prepares shipments for internal and external customers; selects appropriate shipping containers; packs items to ensure safe delivery.
- Prepares shipments as instructed on sales order/pick ticket.
- Checks items gathered against pick tickets to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
- Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insure and/or logs inventory to be shipped.
- Records discrepancies or damages and notifies the supervisor.
- Understands all packaging requirements for each of our customers and ensures all products are packaged to their standards.
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Loads shipments to carrier vehicles for freight orders and parcel orders as necessary.
- May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate strapping and wrapping machines; may operate company vehicles to deliver shipments; may assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- May be called upon to assist in supporting Material Staging.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to read and write in English.
- At least 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures.
- Certified forklift truck operator.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs regularly, 500-lb pallets via equipment). Exposed to heat/cold, noise, machinery. Must have clear vision/hearing.
Schedule
Full-time, Mon-Fri 8 AM–4:30 PM (flexible; some OT).
