Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business & Intellectual Property Attorney to join the firm and handle a range of business and IP matters. This role is ideal for a skilled attorney who is confident managing matters independently, providing sound legal counsel, and delivering excellent client service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct client consultations and provide clear, practical legal advice.

  • Handle business law matters from inception to resolution, including strategy development, document preparation, and ongoing client counseling.

  • Advise clients on copyright, trademark, and related intellectual property issues.

  • Identify appropriate legal strategies to meet client objectives and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Collaborate with clients and outside professionals, including accountants and financial advisors, as needed.

  • Maintain strong client communication with a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.

  • Draft and review business documents, including contracts, corporate governance documents, and transactional agreements.

  • Explain complex legal concepts and document provisions in a clear and understandable manner.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience managing business law matters.

  • Strong background in intellectual property law, particularly copyright and trademark.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize multiple matters.

  • Excellent client service skills and a professional presence.

  • High degree of discretion, confidentiality, and integrity in handling sensitive client matters.

  • Working knowledge of finance, investments, and taxes sufficient to understand business and transaction structures.

  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, timekeeping systems, and case management software.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive annual salary of $140,000–$150,000, DOE.
